From first note to last, Kirk Davis continually amazes with a seemingly effortless delivery of honey-laden notes. In an era when the ordinary is considered exceptional and the average deem brillant, one encounters great difficulty in summoning words to qualify the incredible vocal gifts of this remarkable artiste.
There are those who content such a richly textured voice should never have lent itself to the singing of Reggae. Those misguided purists are driven by the notion his enormous talents would be better served if he devoted his time to the signing of ballads in the vein of Luther Vandross. The fact is that Reggae and Rhythm and Blues are both better for having Little Kirk, now Kirk Davis, represent himself through their musical struture.

Born in Montego Bay, Jamaica but now living in Canada, "Shadrock" started his career djing and recording dubplates for the local sound systems. "Shadrock"Â is tried by introducing new styles and sounds to his music and voice.
Shadrock's music has been charted in "Seychelles", South Africa, Toronto and Montréal, Canada. He has toured with many bands, but the jewel in his musical crown was when he met Winnie Mandela in South Africa and was a guest at her house, as she thanked him and other artistes, for performing at an "Aids Awareness" concert.
Shadrock's album entitled "Shadrock Moving Forward" is playing on 150 radio stations worldwide.

Jahranimo's first major recognition came in 1988 at a sound system showdown between Ticka Music and Pieces Sound. Singing under the stage name ..Apache.., he won the audience's love and was named Best Entertainer by the promoter. After meeting the late Chino Man in Savanna-La-Mar, Jahranimo was introduced to Leng, Specialist, and Banky (former managers of Shaba Ranks). These new connections led to performances in some of the biggest shows in Jamaica such as Sting, Hot Shot, and Border Clash. In 1991, ready to begin a new life in Canada, Jahranimo performed an emotional farewell show while sharing the stage with Buju Banton and
other artists from his homeland.
While living in Canada and taking a break from music, Jahranimo began to realize his true identity as a..Rastaman... Giving all praise to the Most High, life ..Must Get Betta.....

Malijah's latest single, called "No Combo" (Breakfast in Bed) is getting
heavy radio rotation in Jamaica and Europe.
A brilliant video for the song can be seen on Jamaica TV stations: Juice, Hype and RETV. If you don't get any of these stations, you can also watch on Malijah's myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/malijahsingsong
This week the song was voted #2 on RETV Top 10 video countdown show- based on viewers' votes. Malijah is happy that the fans are responding so well to his meaningful, yet playful song.
"The song is more than just a single that promotes healthy eating, it is funny but serious and urges you to take a look at your lifestyle, and make the necessary changes so you can have a healthier, more upful life, there is a message beneath it all, you have to set your thing right, no one else can do it for you," Malijah explained.
The song features veteran musicians including: Sly Dunbar (drums), Mikey Chung (bass), and Dean Fraser (horns). Singer Zenesha 'Zenny' Riley's sexy vocals are a nice compliment to the package. Zenny is a newcomer to the music business but she has previously made a name for herself as a runway model in Spain, Germany and France.

The song's refrain: "It's not about class, color or races, let's get together and see different places" is propelled by images of a mohawk haired-woman, an Orthodox Jewish man, along with African, and Asian people whose singing faces are imposed and depicted Gentleman's dancing torso.
Los Angeles-based players Adam Arredondo, Spacey, Dr. Scorp (pictured on drums), Cedric (R) (pictured here with Ras Kassa (L) and Shawn (on bass) were hired to act as the musicians performing the Firehouse crew-crafted rhythm track. Another of the video's scenes depicted here, features Gentleman singing with the band in front of a multi-flag backdrop.
Lawd have mercy...... The Broadcasting Commision of Jamaica is instilling its rules and regulations..... dem a gwann wicked see yah now dem ban Red Rad Song because of its lyrical contect by using the word GLAMITY.....
THIS IS WHAT one876entertainment.com has to say about this
Red Rat banned? Dancehall fans have been stunned by the latest move by the Broadcasting Commission to ban Red Rat's popular It Good song because of the use of the word 'glamity' in one of the verses.
"I just got word that it was banned from Hitz and FAME because they said that I used the word 'glamity'. I can't believe it all now, they ban my song because of that word and yet you have man ah kill people inna song, mi nah call no name, and yet he is not banned," an incensed Red Rat told One876Entertainment.com.
"I won't accept it, my management is writing a letter to the Broadcasting Commission right now, I don't understand this at all, 'glamity' is not even in the dictionary, it is not a swear word, it is a Jamaican slang term, and my song is not even derogatory, it is bigging up the girls dem," Red Rat, who buried his father a few weeks ago, said.
Red Rat is known for the dancehall girls, Shelly Ann and Charlene Have Pretty Car Eye.

"People criticise what they don't know or understand and develop preconceptions, and so given that, I have gone against what they've developed as a stereotype," said Redwood, who is in Mexico for the Miss Universe final on May 28 in Mexico City.
Rastafarians -- who worship the late Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie as a God they call "Jah" -- stress peace, love, spiritual goals and natural living, Redwood said, denying a clash between Rasta culture and being a beauty queen.
"The Rastafarian culture and beauty pageants have a great deal in common because they both promote decorum in the attitude of the female and the female as a role model in society. You're looking at beauty of the mind, body and soul," she said.
Rather than discrimination, the main reason for a dearth of Rasta beauty queens on the international circuit is the movement's rejection of the more corrupt or gaudy facets of modern society, which they call "Babylon," Redwood said.
Made famous around the world by Bob Marley's reggae songs, the Rasta culture emphasizes human dignity and self-respect.
"Rastafarians have been a very conservative group so modelling and pageants have been considered Babylonian to some extent," Redwood said.
