Labeled in 2001 by the Jamaican Observer as an artist who “made a difference,” today, Warrior King carries this anointment further in his latest release, “Hold The Faith,” off the VP Records Label. Filled with tunes of love and life, uplifting and inspiring, “Hold the Faith” is a refreshing extension of Warrior Kings dedication to the roots based religion Rastafari, as well as a masterfully produced album in today's modern roots tradition.

Reggae is the heartbeat of Jamaica - a brand of reggae music as strongly identified with the island as R&B is with Detroit or jazz with new reggae Orleans. It's a major factor in the Jamaican economy, at no time better demonstrated than during Reggae Sunsplash and Reggae Sumfest (enormous annual reggae festivals), when almost one-quarter million visitors arrive from overseas to dance and sway in delirious union to the soulful, syncopated beat on the tiny island.
Reggae evolved in the ghettos of Kingston, Jamaica, born of the tensions and social protest simmering violently in the late 1960's. Jamaicans will tell you that reggae means "coming from de people," a phrase coined (as was the name reggae itself) by Toots Hibbert of Toots and the Maytals.

Ziggy's latest record, "Love is My Religion" won Best Reggae Album. Ziggy said: "I'm honored and appreciative that this very personal album was acknowledged by the Recording Academy."
"One of my father's goals was to release an album independently. His plan was to do that after the release of his final album on a major label, unfortunately, he never had the chance," shared Ziggy. "This album and the way it is being sold is important to me in honoring my father's spirit."

| From the first reggae song, "It's A Long Road," Haiti-native Gigi Brissot positions himself as a sharply tuned reggae artist and a messenger. The bass lines and innovative reggae guitar licks throughout the album demonstrate the artistic maturity and time devoted to this reggae project. The reggae sounds of these seventeen strictly original tracks will please the ears of any reggae listener. There is a peaceful musicianship with gentle guitar and acoustic piano licks that touch the mellow rhythms and accent the thoughtful reggae lyric lines in each of his compositions. |

Dr. Das just released his first solo CD Emergency Basslines to great acclaim across Europe. Worldly is proud to feature Dr. Das' first U.S. solo gig. His high-energy, rhythm-charged performance will find him joined by virtuoso percussionist and electronica luminary Karsh Kale, as well as drummer Ramjac.
