Buju Banton's lateset album 'Rasta Got Soul' hits #1 IN JAPAN... Mounts Charts In Jamaica, South Florida & New York

Rasta Got Soul is currently the #1 Reggae album in Japan at both Tower
Records and HMV. The new album has also been well received by local press with Banton gracing the cover of Riddim magazine in Japan and garnering features or reviews in magazines such as BMR (Black Music Review), Woofin', Rove and Bounce.



MTV Japan recently showed their support of the artist with a 30 minute block of Buju Banton music videos, including the clip for Magic City from the new album. Rasta Got Soul was released in Japan via JVC/Victor Entertainment.

In Jamiaca, Rasta Got Soul remains the #1 Reggae Album on the Jamaica Music Countdown Top Reggae Albums Chart for the third week in a row. Hosted by the omnipotent Richie B, the JMC can be heard each and every Friday on Hot 102 FM. Rasta Got Soul is being distributed in Jamaica and the Caribbean by Dynamic Sounds.

In the United States, ska single A Little Bit Of Sorry is the #1 song in
South Florida for the second week in a row. The album, meanwhile, is perched at #2 on both the New York and South Florida Top Reggae Albums Charts. Rasta Got Soul is also #5 on MediaGuide's Reggae Specialty Albums Chart and #6 on CMJ's New World Music Chart.
